What are Iowa's rules for process serving?
Iowa follows the Iowa Rules of Civil Procedure, specifically Rules 1.302 through 1.315 for service of process. Documents can be served by any person who is not a party to the action. Service may be made personally, by leaving copies at the usual place of residence, or by other court-approved methods such as publication. We ensure full compliance with all applicable Iowa rules.
Do I need a licensed process server in Iowa?

What proof of service do you provide?
We provide a notarized affidavit of service that includes the date, time, location, and method of service, along with a description of the person served. All service attempts include GPS coordinates and timestamps. The affidavit is court-ready and can be filed directly with any Iowa district court.
Can you serve papers on weekends or holidays in Iowa?
Yes. Iowa law does not prohibit service on weekends or holidays. We offer 7-day service and can attempt service at times most likely to find the recipient at home, including evenings and weekends. This flexibility often results in faster successful service.
What types of documents can you serve in IA?
